Desiree was a spectacular month of coordinator. She was the perfect mixture of easy-going and super organized. It is stressful planning a wedding, but because of her, I was able to relax and enjoy my entire wedding day carefree. She made all of my detailed wedding plans go smoothly and made sure my husband and I had time to eat and stayed hydrated. She had a clear schedule but was so flexible that if my husband and I wanted to change something (even in the middle of our wedding day), she helped make it happen and the guests never knew the difference. You will be lucky if you get to work with her as your wedding coordinator!

I don’t even know where to start with Desiree because there are simply too many good things to say! I was a long-distance bride, with lots of anxiety about my wedding. She gave me so many local options to choose from for catering, photography, makeup, and everything else. Desiree is a rock star, and we can’t thank her enough for everything she did leading up to and on the day of our wedding. We live on the west coast, and she was so willing to work with us across time zones and help us find what was right for us. She scheduled regular check-ins with us throughout the planning process and helped guide us through all the details. We planned an outdoor ceremony and reception, but rain on the day-of prevented that plan from coming to fruition, and Desiree took charge and transformed our plain tent into a magnificent, magical, beautiful reception space. From putting out fires, to helping us minimize stress, to keeping us on schedule as much as possible. Desiree truly went above and beyond to make our day perfect. We could not have had such an amazing day without her!

I needed help with planning my destination wedding and after looking through some of the vendors on The Knot, I spoke with Desiree and her and I instantly cliqued! She was always quick to respond, and helped me through all of my stresses up until the wedding so that I had zero things to worry about on my wedding day. We chose Carmon Taylor Weddings to be our wedding coordinator and wow am I thankful for Desiree! We decided to get married at our family property that needed A LOT of work in a short amount of time. Desiree stepped in and helped cast a vision for the property while also managing the logistics of every little thing. Desiree went above and beyond to meet with us and ensure she was allowing everything to run smoothly. The day turned out amazing thanks to Desiree as she made sure that we stayed on time, that we were all in good spirits, that we ate a meal at the reception, and that we had plenty of time to dance. I originally said “oh, I can do this without a wedding planner, no problem.” And like a couple weeks later when I realized how INCREDIBLY wrong I was, I found Des 🙂 Des took care of everything. She was so good about communicating, reminding us of deadlines, helping to locate vendors (especially when COVID obliterated our original venue plan), and was willing to be the “bad guy” with vendors or family to make sure problems didn’t reach me and my fiancé. She made our day go off without a hitch (at least as far as we know, because if there was a problem she handled it!), and even made sure we had a goodie bag of snacks. Not only this, but she was also just such a warm and funny presence to have through a pretty stressful time. She means business and gets the job done, but she’s also just fun to have around. Utne Wedding
During COVID times, there will always be a need to have a back up plan, especially if you are getting married. The preconceived notion is that a back up plan or the last minute change will not be as good as Plan A. For me, my last minute, unplanned change knocked it out of the park. Desiree came in less than 48 hours before my wedding day due to COVID knocking out my amazing planner. Desiree came in and immediately made me feel comfortable and relaxed. With a phone call and 20 minute talk the morning of the wedding Desiree was able to coordinate with my vendors, decorate the reception area and wrangle in my wedding party. Everything was absolutely perfect!!
Oh, since I used to always be the bridesmaid and never the bride, I have spent hours cleaning up and finding all the stuff the bride left behind but would need before leaving for the honeymoon. It is such a pain. Desiree was able to ease that burden for my family. When it was time to make our grand exit, Desiree had all of my stuff from the bridal dressing area packed up and placed in our car so we could leave.
My wedding day was exactly what I imagined. It was as the small things and small reassurances through out the day that made Desiree the perfect addition.
